DESCRIPTION

Perfluorinated powder wax for racing use. Suitable for snow temperatures from -9°C to -2°C. Humidity from 60% to 100%. Recommended application: hot with a waxing iron at 160°C.

APPLICATION METHODOLOGY

GENERAL PRINCIPLES

The application of hydrocarbon paraffins (Med or Soft Racing Base or BP1), fluorinated hydrocarbon paraffins (LP2 or HP3) and perfluorinated waxes FP4 allows certain overlaps based on the following chemical affinities:
Hydrocarbon paraffin alone (Med or Soft Racing Base or BP1) or mixed with other hydrocarbon paraffins;
Fluorinated hydrocarbon paraffin alone (LP2 or HP3) or mixed with other hydrocarbon paraffins
Perfluorinated wax FP4 alone or mixed with other perfluorinated waxes but in any case superimposed on a fluorinated hydrocarbon paraffin (LP2 or HP3)
The direction in waxing operations must always be from the tip to the tail of the tool.
Racing waxing can be done hot or cold depending on the physical state of the products and the experience of the skiman.

APPLICATION METHOD WITH WAXING IRON

• Place the powdered wax evenly on the insole;
• Spread the wax on the insole by rubbing and pressing using a manual cork pad (the MT0111 pad/brush is useful);
• Melt the wax by moving the waxing iron from tip to tail at a constant speed at the recommended temperature of 160°;
• Remove the melted wax with a stiff brush (the MT0111 brush/pad is useful) and melt it again by performing a second pass as before;
• Then roll the surface of the insole with a cork or polyester roller at a drill speed of between 1000 and 1500 rpm depending on the pressure applied;
• Wait at least 15 minutes to allow the insole to cool and the wax to solidify;
• Brush the insole with a manual or rotating brush made of stiff horsehair;
• Brush and polish the insole with a manual or rotating brush made of horsehair or soft nylon;
• Polish the insole with a 10mm merino wool roller.

It is recommended to use a face mask with a cartridge filter to avoid breathing in fluorocarbon vapors.

COLD APPLICATION METHOD WITH CORK PAD AND MANUAL BRUSH
• Place the powdered wax evenly on the insole;
• Spread the wax on the insole by rubbing and pressing using a cork pad (the MT0111 pad/brush is useful);
• Brush the insole with back and forth movements applying pressure with a stiff horsehair manual brush;
• Polish the insole with a manual brush made of horsehair or soft nylon;
